hi guys can you help me out here, i bought a samsung 450 surround sound system and the speakers hiss, it only noticable on low volume, if i have music or tv loud then i cant hear it.
have i bought a cheap system or do you think its faulty, all wires seem in ok and it is annoying me when watching tv at night, this system was ?120 from amazon but other places have it priced at ?150 so its not the cheapest but i do understand its a budget system, it hissses on tv,ps3 and when i use the usb, not tried dvd yet but i asume it will be the same,
any help would be appreciated

are all speakers hooked up right ???

all the + to the + (or red speaker termales to red and black to black on all speakers ??? if one was wrong the speaker would still work but you would still get a hissing sound

does it hiss all the time or just when the volume on the surround system is high?

disconnect the audio in from your your surround system and check if the hiss is still there....
