Yes UPA run on windows 7 32/ and 64, only by 64bit you have to disable the signatur from the windows all the time you boot up.

I used before UPA damage windows 7/64bit all ok.

i just found out. i will have to do this every time i want to use UPA

method to boot in Windows 64-bit.
There are still a few working ways to load unsigned drivers though.
One of these methods is to continuously press F8 when Windows is booted up
until you get the Advanced Boot Options, then select "Disable Driver
Signature Enforcement".

i have a question for all.
what process do you use to left pins on MCU's? and what tools do you use to left the pins?
i ask because i am a little scare to left pins, i think i will break pins.

also do i need to have external power to read and write to MCU?
if i do, what type of power supply?

U mean "lift" the pin? I'm using soldering iron and needle...
And U need sometimes the power supply.
I'm using the car battery.

yes lift.
you use car battery? are you serious.

does any one know the specifications of the power supply or D/C power.??

Yes m8 seriously!
12V DC but lots of Amps.. So must be careful for shortcuts.
U can use any adapter 12V and at least 500mA (1A). Must be great filtered. Battery is good solution, bud U have to use it carefully. U can also buy DC supply with overload protection... means if U plug something incorrect, protection just cut the power to the chip(board). Basically U can set up the Amps output.
Those toys cost something, but sometimes are great.
I was using car battery since, and never had an issue.
Also feeding carprog (which U have?) with it for Motorolas.

so the MAX is 1A?

This discussion is very interested!
I have bought UPA and XPROG-M ,i'm a beginner.
Can i use ALWAYS the power supply in these programmers?
If i use 13.8v 5a with 500ma fuse,do you think is good for UPA and XPROG?

Thk

so the MAX is 1A?

U don't know much about electric.. do You?
1A (1000mA) is good enough for powering up the programmer. If U will use 50mA supply, may not work, cause voltage (V) will drop.
So there are no MAX on Ampers (A). U can have 100A supply, which will work same way as the 1A supply. With 100A U can weld (car battery).
For job with programmers is 500mA enough i think.

THANK YOU

Programmers need 12V supply, but i thing it will work ok. In UPA is changer to 5V and input can be 10-15V so U are ok.
I don't know about x-prog tho...
And 500mA should be good enough.
Cheers

I ask because carprog needs a minimum 1A. 12V
I used 12V with 500ma it would not work.
