I've done a Transit 2010 yesterday, is mileage only in dash? Haven't got info about ECU.

Dash only dr Peter same as 2006-7-8 etc

i think there is somewhere else transits from 08 onwards store mileage memory aswell, its not the ecu but its a module somewhere behind the dash i think

Confirmed by the master transit technician ar local ford commercial dealers 1 location which Is the dash

its posible that there are more places, but there is no tool to check this!

Sorry guys you are all wrong mileage is in sam unit behind glove box will post two dumps later on mileage is not hard to see it is held in a 9s12dpx512 every day a school day

handy to know that . thanks milesbetteroff as you say everyday a schoolday. like most cars nowadays have second /third memory etc just down to dealers who can be bothered to check or have the knowhow to do so....

ps im guesing you can read this with rosfar /upa /etc then edit the algo also do you have a picture of the sam unit?????

i know more than some dealers round my area mate, most of the people inside these dealerships havent a fcukin clue

all new cars have a second memory, wether the dealer checks or not thats a different issue :)

I do agree in general most folk working in dealers are pants ar there job butiv never hear if shadow memory in transit nor has anyone iv spoken to still as it gies you learn something everyday , though I'd like to know where the part us

hi guys here is dump from a sams unit have a look and see

Ford IDS dealer tool from version 71 displays mileage on start screen where it reads chassis number etc
This is not on all models for example
2009 transit no mileage
2005 mondeo diesel,mileage displayed but must come from dash as mileage changed to same as dash after corection
Still checking others as I come across them
