And what about the keys? are they contain the Km?

Every BMW from 1998 have KM in keys,( except E36 and Z3 to 1999)

The X5 to 2007 (E53) have EWS3 or EWS4
the X5 facelift after 2007 (E70) have CAS modul

the E53 have KM in this modul:

dash,
engine(benzin and diesel),
gearbox,
lights,
Ews (key modul)
Reductor for 4x drive

But for this car, you can do only dash, the KM will not jump back

for this car is good to use BMW P.A. Soft-bmw scanner
---------------------------------
the E70 is facelift of X5

have Dash and CAS modul
but also have error history and error information with date and KM when errors come
must erased this

Thank you markony. I take off everytrhing from the car( Dash,EWS(0D46J mask)and the ECU. Now I will do the dash and the ECU. My question is that: What should i do with the EWS and the keys? Program to 0? or the same value with the dash? I know that the LCM can be programmed via OBDII and it must be 0.

I would like to change the km everywhere not only the dash....

Dash and Ews must take out , but another moduls in car
can do with BMW scanner 1.4.0.

Ews can write same new value like in dash or can put little under, its will come same Km, when start the car

LCM and reductor(VTG Transfer box) must put same value
EGS and DME or DDE( gear and Ecu box) must changing and cleaning last km errors

I can recomend you the Bmw Scanner, can do this moduls on OBD

In the tacho universal 2008 i have menupont: EWS3 0D46J--> -Key
-EWS erase
-Key erase
-EWS Proz
-EWS K-Line
-Key read

I think if I choose erase the EWS it will be programmed to 0 and the keys too and after they will come the same value with the dash. Or NOT?
I know, I must NOT do this model with TU 2008 but i can't do anything else. I've already done the dash and the ECU.

You can do the EWS with Xprog m v5.0.
Check the dashboard chip M35080 ,if there is M35080V6 you will have to replace it with the new one because the Xprog-m cant erase protected area.

I've done the dashboard it has a 35080 6(Not 35080V6, just 35080 6) chip but i can erase with tacho universal 2008 and i can write new value and the next reading it shown the new Km. EWS must programmed the same value or 0?

No,not onlly errors,
can change the KM in all this value
can make coding , read and write eeprom in all this moduls
except not in dash with 35080 ( becouse it need 5v to writing)

it is very good tool
first tool is make if I remember
Alexandar P.A Soft, more then 10 years ago
its come P.A soft 1.25
he is one very smart russian guy

tacho unfortunatelly can't do this LCM via OBDII :( I must do it with X Prog-M. My customer is patient, unfortunatelly in hungary, people like me don't have enough money to buy DSP 3 or enigma and this is my first BMW what i do........

markony79
3rd April, 2011, 08:41 AM
Ok, if your coustomer dont go in BMW service or do something with insurance ( like crash and wait payment for damage)
then wil be enough to do
DASH EWS LCM

p.s. 2008 I sell my golf 5 and buy DP3, becouse the golf 5 cam not make the money......

I not use this ,becouse I think China version ,can only read teh moduls,
not to write in
the original its will work , but I am not shore
becouse on the new moduls of BMW, you have km in
DASH
CAS
ECU,
another moduls is take KM from DASH after 32km driving
but must erased erors
and last service history
if you want good job

somebody can give me some advices about the 9S12 MCU?

Fec001
3rd April, 2011, 01:12 PM
I read the 9S12 MCU in the LCM and i got the old right km value, I calculate new km value with tachosoft and when i write the modificated bin to the device the X Prog-M says verify error:
Device 00000012H - 00H
Buffer 00000012H - 06H
Verify error. continue?

Should i continue?

mileage is set to 0 (zero) in lcm

Car type: BMW LCM3 - 68HC912D60
The mileage is stored in the next lines:
0010: xx xx 04 16 xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
where the next bytes:
04 16 - is a mileage

so set where 04 16 is to 00 00

problems writing can be need of 15v adaptor at xprog and make sure you are lifting any pins if some need to be lifted

I did it with tacho universal 2008 and programmed to the same value as the dash and EWS. Now the car is ready, only one more thing needed, that's the DTC's history clearing. I will bring the car to another garage to do this one. (I did a Km check too with TU 2008 and LCM, dash, EWS are on the same value (Y))

ahh and one more strange thing. This LCM has 9S12D64 MCU not D60.......
