I have just bought a relatively expensive Lenovo A 310 wireless desktop. The reception seems not what I thought it would be. The router I have is a Thomson 25F533 G. I've read a little and with my PC being N rated I thought I should buy an N router to match. But......
Looking at N routers there are so many at so different prices and I am puzzled. I want good connection for a limited amount of use on the net, nothing extraordinary.
Anyone have any advice with regard to the price range I should be looking at.
Thanks for reading.

Can plug your PC via a cable to the router and see if it makes any difference.

If the laptop is the only device on the network and you are getting full internet speed already then not worth upgrading.

Good connection on a wireless network, no matter what you spend, can come down to a variety of things;

* Channel you're using

* Distance from Router & PC & Laptop

* Is the Wireless card compatible with router

* How many walls are there between sender & receiver

* Are you using anything else wireless
