how to measure antenna coil.

Hello classmates.

who of you could help me, I need to if there is any way to check the antenna coil of the lock (which is not a sign of light) with any current meter and what is the procedure to follow.


I have a VW BEETLE 1999 that fails immo id48 (two keys) from time to time and the car will not start until later. analyzer with a bulb check it myself, but every time it stops working I'm not making the search and when I do it works well.

Touch two of the voltmeter leads to the terminals on the antanna coil

Read the display on the voltmeter. The meter should read between few Ohms. If it dont read then you need to replace the antenna coil
or use the bipper mode of the voltmeter
