i'm not sure what you mean mate.
what fee are you talking about and who put it in your account.
there is an arrangement for any products you take out - you pay this or can be added to the mortgage....in most cases.
if you've had money sent to your account by solicitors after completion, i would guess your redemption figure was lower than the amount you remortgaged for and the money in your account is the excess.
if that is the case then, its your money.
hope this helps.

there was some redemtion money left for me but the people who arranged the mortgage had there own costs which amounted to nearly 2 grand, they rang me yesterday and said that there money had gone to my account by mistake, which they said i could pay them back by check or visa,or however i like.
i said OK a pound a week which they laughed at !! but didn't take me seriously pmsl

ohhh rite,
it was the brokers fee???!!
hmmmmm......i suppose you should pay them if that was agreed with them. the also get commission from the lender too.
you should check what the terms of business were. if you are paying them a fee, then they should pass you the commission.
technically they can come after you for the money....just depends on the terms of business you signed.
look at the section under costs and fees and you will see everything that should explain how much and if they should give you the commission.

they can come after the money but if you spent it by accident (as you do) they can only ask for it if you say it is spent they can take you to court and you pay what a judge deems yo can afford after you tell hime you are potless and if you can prove it this could be ?1 a month
if you want the cash try it on say the wife spen it on fixing car or whatever she didnt realise
can i give you ?20 a month?
they will more than likely say no but they cant do anything about it tbh only take you to court
which is more money for them especially as you have offered them ?20 a month already the court would take a dim view of them issueing an order when you are skint and you have offered them cash already
then if you say at court i cant even afford the ?20 now due to my fuel and bills all going up they will ask for you incomings and outgoings exaggerate the outgoings and you may end up giving them a ?1
a court will only take what you can afford

one thing i forgot to add if keeping is make sure the excuse you give is both believable and plausible as if it does got to court the owner of the money will base their case on you knowing that the money was there and you were trying to fraud them
you coud say something like me and mrs dibble were going through a rough patch we split up she left me for mr red and cleaned out my bank account and left me with nothing
the violins are out
then mr red kicks her out and she comes back from her fancy man with her tail between her legs begging for forgiveness so you deceided to give it another go for the children
you poor man ?1 a week is ok hear hear lol
or similar but i think you get my drift
