Seat Toledo 2001

Hi to all,

There's a friend of mine that has a Seat Toledo 2001.

Suddenlly the car begun to not starting sometimes. He thought that was due to the keys, but in fact it is not. The imobilizer light wasn't blinking, but, anyway, I erased both keys and recode them and the problem remains...
Also "Service" indicator is flashing and Super Vag K+Can reads one fault: "01314 engine control module".

Can someone, please, point me to solutions? Do you think that I should remove ECU and check it? In this case can somone tell me were to look for it? Where it is placed?

As said, the problem it's intermitent. For instance: I tried several times to start the car and it refuses. Let it "rest" for a while and it starts... Let it running for a while, turn it off, tried to start again, and nothing...

Any help will be much appreciated.
