I?m sorry if this has been answered before but I am new to this and I was wondering if the new Xbox 360 Slim was able to be moddified so that it can read backup games?

Depending on the model of dvd drive inside. There is firmware for the 9504 drive but no others. Only true way to tell is by opening the xbox and connecting it up to a pc.

When was the xbox made? if the MFR date is before july/aug 2010 then you stand a good chance it will be a 9504 drive.

I don't have an xbox 360 slim yet. I used to have an Elite version but it ended up giving me the ring of death so I?m afraid that if I buy another elite system it will burn again. But I've heard that the slim version doesn't show the red ring so that's why I wanted one, but I'd really like to get it flashed. If the new ones aren't able to be flashed then I think I'll take the risk on buying a new Elite version and hope it doesn't burn again. Thanks for the answer

i was wondering if any of the pins on the MT1335WE chip connect to the internal memory so if you were to connect to specific pins you could just right directly to the memory instead of going through the MT1335WE

im a noob but it seems that you do the kamikazee to cut the write protect input of the internal memory right?

Depends on the drive tbh.
