Here is a good start to are problem with PC's only coming with windows 7. The ultimate version of windows 7 comes with the free option of downloading a virtual machine that boots windows XP inside of windows 7. I am going to try and run a copy of XP inside windows 7 and see if the diagnostic software will work from this. If anybody has any inputs or ideas let me know as this is something that I have not seen yet and may help some of us with the problem of software incompatible with windows 7 or vista.

I'm using WIN 7 Ultimate with virtual Win XP on it (Since Last Year). What I noticed is that you can't change the resolution on it while on XP MODE. Second, most of the Software now will run in Win 7 except for those OLD applications intended for Win 98.

Hope this will help.

Run in XP MODE and from there try to use your RP1210 Adapter. Even if the Virtual XP was already installed in your PC, Drivers installed in XP MODE will work only in Virtual XP MODE. The problem if you installed your Diagnostic Software in WIN 7 and your Adapter in XP Mode, then most likely you have problem in communication.
