Ok I'm using WiiFlow v2.2rc1 on system menu 4.3u and I want to create channels for my games on the Wii menu. I've tried several channel creators and USB loaders (including cloader, CFG, crap, TriiForce, and GX to name a few) but I've had major issues with compatibility with all of them. I found CK's post (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f16/wiiflow-1-1-a-92688/) which was very helpful except that I'm using a different version of WiiFlow.

So... I'm looking for a way to create game channels using WiiFlow as the USB loader. If anyone has had any luck doing this PLEASE give me some pointers but keep in mind that I'm a little slow (aka retarted) when it comes to this stuff. LOL

Update:

IOS Version: 249v20(57)

I found this:
The channels button is a feature that has been introduced in version 2.0. If you cant see the button to switch views to see your installed channels in WiiFlow, you need to check wiiflow.ini to make sure that you don't have the line:
hidechannelsbutton=yes

After booting WiiFlow again, if you don?t see the channels button even if you edited wiiflow.ini, you must have a base IOS which is not supported.
For example, cIOS249 rev 19 base 38 support this.

- I tried to install 249r19(38) and thought it installed correctly but it's not showing the change on WiiFlow...

Thanks CK. Looked at the guide and it looks a little complicated but I'm going to give it a try and report back. Thanks!

Update:
Ok... apparently that's WAY too complicated for me. I got about halfway through it and was totally lost as to what to do when it came to the wiiscrubber part and opening a .bnr file that I can't seem to find anywhere. I'm starting to think I'm hopeless. LOL

First, make 2 folders. To make it simple, call them "Folder 1" and "Folder 2".

Put this: VC Injector (http://www.mediafire.com/?mtixbylxdye)
in Folder 1.
Also put "cmd.exe" (it's in WINDOWS/System32, you could also go to START->Search->type in cmd.exe)in the Folder 1.

And then, put this: Wad packer and unpacker (http://www.mediafire.com/?fwgzzw4znnm)
in Folder 2.
Also include "common-key.bin" in both of these folders (Remember that the common-key.bin can't be hidden)

Now, get a wad. For simplicity, you can use my already-made game channel wad, like this one: http://www.mediafire.com/?jy5yry2atzo (http://www.mediafire.com/?jy5yry2atzo). Rename it to "in.wad" and put in Folder 2.

Now, run "WAD Unpacker.bat". It should create an folder.

Copy the contents of that folder into the "Folder 2".

Now, run the WiiScrubber. Go to the DATA partition and extract the "opening.bnr". Put it in the Folder 2 and rename to 00000000.app (replace the older 00000000.app).

Now open your favourite hex editor, and open the 00000001.app file. Press Ctrl+F and find the word "subsystem". Scroll up a little and you should see a game id (e.g RZDP01).

Replace it with the game you want to boot from this channel (For example, if you want to boot PAL version of Mario Galaxy, replace RZDP01 with RMGP01). Save and exit.

Now, run the "Wad Packer.bat". "Out.wad" should be created.

Move it to the "Folder 1". Run cmd.exe and write:

CODE
vc out.wad

After some random numbers, it will ask you for the channel's region. Select one and press enter.

Then it will ask you for the 4-digit channel's ID. Be creative! For example. If you want to run Mario Galaxy, write in SMGA or MARG or something like that. Just be sure your new channel's ID won't overwrite the ones on your NAND! And for Christ's sake, don't use ID's like HACA, HABA, HAGA!!!...It will overwrite Shop/News/Weather channels!

After you give your channel an ID, press enter and your wad will be created (it'll be called title.wad)
It's now ready to install.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the guide I'm following from the site you sent me to CK. And this is where I'm getting lost:

Now, run "WAD Unpacker.bat". It should create an folder.

"Copy the contents of that folder into the "Folder 2".

Now, run the WiiScrubber. Go to the DATA partition and extract the "opening.bnr". Put it in the Folder 2 and rename to 00000000.app (replace the older 00000000.app). "

I ran the WAD Unpacker and created the files but don't know how WiiScrubber has anything to do with these files. All I've used WiiScrubber for is to crop disk size and it's set up to read ISO files not .app or .bnr files from what I can tell. Am I missing something?

Ahhh... But what if I have everything converted to WBFS files?

Ahhh... But what if I have everything converted to WBFS files?

If .wbfs extension is attached to a certain program, you'll have to make it so windows shows known extensions. Click the file, F2, then just change extension to wbfs; I'm 75% positive they're the same thing.

you could always use Digital Kaos - Downloads - wii backupmanager 0.3.beta1 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/wii-backupmanager-0-3-beta1-1496/) to convert them to iso.

Ok... Conversion to ISO isn't a problem now. Next question is, can I convert them back to WBFS after the channel is created and still have it work?
