View Full Version : What uses does a dead PS3 have?

So have done the YLOD fix several times on the old Fat 80GB model, got some months of further use from it, but it looks like it is finally totally fried, won't repair any more and gone to the house in the sky.

What I thinking is can any of it be of any use elsewhere, I mean our Blu ray drive was perfectly working as was hard drive, Can the blu ray drive be used on say a PC?

What other ingenious uses can you come up with aside from the obvious door stop etc ..hehe ;)

pretty good doorstop mate lol in all seriousness tho the bluray cant be used in a pc the hard drive can be when wiped and re formatted, sell it on the bay for spares or fix it mate best advice i can give u

i held on to mine so if my mates disk loader or lens goes we have a replacement, also wifi card, i used the hard drive for a laptop. dont know if the parts can be used to fix my new slim one if it ever breaks

all but the board can be use m8 and u can get money for the shell if some1 broke there so hold on 2 it
