has anyone had anyproblems with vectra 1.9 cdti 120bhp 2007..

ive done a read and the file size 2097kb..the file is too big...i want to remap this file, but just a bit worried if the mpps hasnt read it ok.then it may not write it ok and i will then have a no start....just wondered if anyone has read this ecu with mpps clone...

Mpps has problems calculating checksum for EDC16c39, so your car will probably not start after remap...

oh right,i remapped a vectra 2006 1.9cdti 150 not long back, and ive just looked at the file size, and the 150 is 1048kb ....weird...i guess mpps is not the best for vauxhall

so what you are saying is that the file i have is a full read and is good to modify and re flash....

lokking on the pc....with the file in a filder the screen says 2048mb...which is good....but if you right click and use properties then it says its 2097kb...weird....

Yes file size should be 2Mb, but MPPS cant calculate checksum for that ECU... find something else...

If your file is 1MB then you ECU is EDC16C9, not EDC16C39. MPPS has problems with EDC16 ECUs that have 2MB file size.

I have no idea if this is fixed in newer software versions, but with 3.0.2.37 I never succeeded successfully writing any 2MB EDC16 ECUs...

thanks for the replys...tribemac---your 1st reply about the mpps not correcting the checksum on a write.i have winols,so i could correct it that way....if i do this, would this be ok to write...or should i get something else to do the write.......

No, it doesen't work even if you correct the checksum in the winols... I tried it on a few cars, it never worked. But luckily I was able to write back original file, and everything worked fine. Then I used different flasher...

thats nice to no,ive always wondered what would happen if you did a correction on winols.

the mpps does say that it corrects on this vauxhall...so is this one of the glitches on mpps....
