00003 should be the control module.

I can check the repair manual tomorrow to be sure, but I'm almost positive it is the general control module fail code. We had one that gave code 00003 without any crash.

0003 - Control Module, Defective

But it can be a software or hardware issue. First one usually can be fixed. Second one is hard to find reason of fault.
