View Full Version : Which connections do I really need on 93c56?

So when I normally program my 93c56 chips I make connections to 7 pins out of 8 as obviously pin 7 is a DC and doesn't apply. But I was reading that there are only 3 connections that really need to be made. Is this really the case? If so I'm assuming VCC, GND and what else? Would be much easier only having to solder 3 connections instead of 7.

Thanks!

when talking about three wires it means CS, CK and DI+DO tied together, there you have those three wires.

but in the practice you need VCC, GND plus CS, CK
BUT some programmers do not support DI and DOUT tied together, so it make 6 wires...

this assuming org is tied to VCC.
