ps3 problems help needed with ps3 jailbreak

My ps3 blu ray drive has died. I have seen that there is a ps3 jailbreak hack out for ps3 and i was just wondering if there is anyway you can use this jailbreak hack to load games without having to insert a disc into the system to simulate loading?

I am having the exact same problem i am not sure but you cann run games off your external hdd.

How do you run them from your external hdd? I have my games on my external hdd but they are not detected through my ps3 when i connect it until i transfer them over to the ps3 but then i cannot load them up without loading a disc in the drive which i cannot do as my drive is broken. If you can run the games straight from your external hdd can you tell me how to do it because i cannot find a way to do this?

You can run games from your external HDD, but not if they have files over 4gb, as FAT32 doesn't support these filesizes.

You can also run SOME games without a disc in the drive.
