Hi guys

I have looked around at the other tutorials online for this, but cannot seem to get things going.

Basically, I have a HTTP stream on my network coming from a Dreambox DM800HD satellite box. This is in MPEG2 with AC3 audio.....the bitrate is far too high for sending across the web.

I am trying to play the network stream into VLC and transcode it to a HTTP stream on port 8080, however all I seem to be doing is playing the incoming stream and not transcoding/streaming it!

If I use a MKV file as my input source. It transcodes and streams as expected, however if I use the HTTP stream it does not seem to work. Does anyone know if this is even possible to do?

My stream output string is as follows: :sout=#transcode{vcodec=h264,vb=250,fps=25,scale=1 ,acodec=mp3,ab=128,channels=1,samplerate=44100}:ht tp{dst=:8080/go.ts} :no-sout-rtp-sap :no-sout-standard-sap :ttl=1 :sout-keep

Can anyone spot anything wrong with my config?

Paul
