key light staying on and not starting

can not find diagnostics socket, can anybody help.
also location of ECU ??

transponder in key is ok, but will make another transponder from immo box and try

is immo clear possible ??

Check under the hood for a 2-pin green connector. That's the engine diagnostic connector if it's an old type.

The new type should have a 16-pin connector. But this is probably a Right Hand drive? Then check behind the glove box.

yes, right hand drive

fuse box in glove box. checked all round glove box, got all covers off under steering and cant find 16-pin connector.
i would have thought 2001 model would have 16pin, will check tomorrow under bonnet for 2 pin connector, but dont have 2 pin diagnostic tester.

any ideas on ecu location

hello, no ECU for this engine.
Only immobilizer box and stop valve in the pump.
Here you have the wiring diagram.
generally the immobilizer box is on the steering column.

made transponder from immo, which was slightly different to original transponder, but did not work

i will check the wiring from immo to stop valve/pump

is there any way of bypassing stop valve ?

I do not remember very well, but below the plastic cover of the pump, you'll find a simple solenoid.
If it works well and positive supply + DC, must start.
