Hi,
I have read and programmed many edc16 with my mpps tool, but today I faced a problem with an edc16u1 ecu in a golf 5 tdi, which seemed to go fine, but after writing 100% it shows "incorrect conditions" and the car does not start anymore (does not seem to be a checksum error!) and the fans start running. I have tried to program the ori file back, but no change.
I can still daignose it with vcds, but it gives an unsupported error even though I can still read th hardware number etc.
Any suggestions?
Does anyone have a bdm of this ecu?

Any suggestions are welcome?

I had the same bad experience with this car - I solved the issue by using galletto.

You got the first error because the file you wrote, didn't have corrected check sum.Quote mishu_b re flashing the ORI file with Galetto should do the trick, if you have this tool available.Good luck

i have and edc16u1 from an A3 8p to tune this week. mpps v13 or galleto fgtech v54? this is the question ? have also ktag 5.0 china. but i don't want to take ecu off from the car. i plan tho remove the fan fuse, because they start on a lot of cars when eeprom is erased, and they will drain the battery durin writing. another question:on galletto fgtech v54 tool 0386 should i use k line or can for edc16u1?
