sky came round other day

offered us much more channels
free second box
20 meg broadband
unlimited calls
for same price as we are paying to vm cable
?55 per month

getting sky installed in a week

already got my 200 changed to sat tuner

how to get the channels on my itgate

been told by sky rep that my son will get the channels on his ps3 and they are giving me a second hd box for daughters room

at the moment my itgate is only getting free satelite channels

any advice will be really appreciated

No disrespect here...if you had a itgate set up for fta....then after subscribed to sky with 2 boxes and through your play station..theres no point in trying to explain how to obtain them on your itgate...maybe try and google it might have saved you a few ?????????,s.

really just want to know what hardware or software I will need in the first place
second place would be physically doing it
obviously this would only be for research purposes lol
tried googling but the amount of conflicting info was incredible

come on folks

1:You require An Itgate with sat tuner= you have
2:you need your itgate connected to your router
3:you need a ftp client(dreambox control centre)
4:you need to install a cam:Eg: Cccam 214 posted by freck
5:you ned to install a config file to var/etc
6:you need a share(either yours) to add to your config file or(theres many 24hr tests avalible)

That gives you a brief outline of whats required,...all the information required is in the itgate threads.

Good luck

next thing
just occured to me
since the new dish sky installed has 4 (yes 4) outputs from the one lmb, I now have a spare dish
so I should be able to reposition it to find another sat
what would be the best sat to look for
and would the dish be set left or right from where it is now

13 east is a good sat mate for Footie
But you will need to subscribe for each sat seperatly
Unless your in the know ..........Paul;)

I told sky to ~~~~ off
having bought the tv,bb and internet off them
and with my house being in 3 levels (loft conversion)
when bt came to fit phoneline they would only put it in through back of house and only up to 3 metres inside at that
that wouldnt even reach my livingroom
so they wanted me to buy wireless gizmos that fitted into electric sockets to get connections through the house.
no ~~~~in way

guessin I'm stuck with vermin then lol

saying that
an engineer was supposed to collect their boxes on wednesday but no one appeared
how long do I need to hold onto them for?
