Hi, all!
i got a Tacho Universal and Tachodump, but i don't know why can not communicate to PC! some step i missing or ?? Please help!!

yup,search,there is an app that can dl the data from tacho

to download and upload use tachodump.
TU has to be in sync to connect and null-modem cable.

Hi all,
thanks for reply..
1. i connect the #83 cable (from tacho kit) Tacho/PC,
2. i open the Tachodump 1.0,
3. i turn on the Tacho and go to SYNC,
4. i click CONNECT and RECEIVE from Tachodump,

Tachodump show [Not on SYNC]. and the Tacho screen show below:
???SYNC???
FE
Sync done
Sync done
please any idea for that ???

verify cable from tacho to computer , pin 5-5 pin 2-3 pin3-2

The cable is good (pin5-5, 2-3, 3-2)
but some one said can't use too fast computer, better use IBM(T23).
Is that true??

so can fix it? but my Tacho pro version is [Jul 07 2008] and every thing working fine..

Try to open your tacho pro handheld and have a look on the right of lcd display where you can find the com port, check if there's a wire connection to your PCB.

Ignor the message " Not Synched " and continue to press the receive button from tacho at the top and you will find that another window opens with all the saved dumps on your machine, then select the one you want and all done !

do you connect the cable direct to the computer to the port DB9 or you use some kind of converter?

Mine does this aswell. The only way I can get mine to sync is to press connect and then backup as quickly as possible and then it will work how it should after that. you have to hit backup the milisecond it comes up on the screen.
