dm 500 hd ip addresss ?

when flashing my dm 500 hd and i turn off with switch at rear , then hold front switch in and switch back on at rear , can someone tell me where to see the ip address as the remote for dreambox doesnt do anything and ive had to search for ip address using dcc . have followed instructions but it isnt clear where to find ip address . thanks

Check this thread mate or... Type in 192.168.0.1 into your internet browser address bar. That is your admin page for your router and have a look for a page showing attached devices or something similar. It should show up as you have it connected already.

every time i flash the box , it still uses the same ip address 192.168.1.8 . this never seems to change but i cant see it only if i search using dcc . will have a look at the admin page for router . thanks

when i flash my dm500hd i turn off at the rear panel switch
then hold the front button and turn on at the rear and keep
hold of the front button for a further 30 secs then let go and
my dm ip. netmask ip and the gateway ip then shows on the tv screen
you can also find your dm500hd box ip by pressing>menu>
setup>ok >system>ok >network>ok >adapter settings>ok
now you can see the dm500hd ip settings write them down
to enter in the firefox browser bar to flash the box

thanks for that i will try next time , may be i didnt hold switch in long enough or wait long enough for it to appear on tv screen , but remote didnt seem to work to be able to get into menu . thanks
