Hi all,

I have a car with steering lock yellow warning appearing on dash.
Car starts and drives fine, lock operates, but warning always there.
Dealers performed all updates on all modules, and problem was gone for a day, now same story. Dealers want to replace steering column at very high price.

Has anyone managed to repair a problem like this.

Car is '08 530i, no errors in CAS or DME.

you need to do a full scan to the car. i?m sure that the error will show up, and i?m also pretty sure that it will be sensor angle... i already fixed one just cleaning it... however , a few other ones i had to replace them. i never did that in 5 series, but it should be similar.
