change "dynamic" to "static"
enter an i-p address within the range of your 1st router settings

The 2nd router is using dynamic or DHCP to automatically get a valid IP address from the other router, so as said above you could set it to static and then manually set all the other paramters like subnet mask, default gateway and DNS server to those that you've already posted. I'd also then exclude this static address from the DHCP pool on the main router to ensure it doesn't hand out this same IP address to another device.

The other way of doing it it is to set up a MAC reservation on the main router so that it always hands out the same IP address to the device. This is how I set things up at home, so the device is still set to dynamic but the router is set to hand out a IP specific address per device.

still having trouble guys these are the settings i was given to set a static ip adress on main o2 router aall working good

188.222.202.80 static ip adress

255.255.248.0 subnet mask

188.222.200.1 default gateway

primary dns server 87.194.255.154

i entered these settings on the 2ND belkin router and turned dhcp off my Internet stopped working enabled dhcp and it still did not work.

what settings should i use with the above settings one 2ND router.

thanks guys once again for your help

o2 routers are usually defaulted to - 192.168.1.254
if you havent changed this manually it should still be at that address ,
if so , maybe set 2nd router to 192.168.1.253 (provided no other device is using it)

or try configging it within the o2 riouter settings , should display a list of devices connected , click on the correct one , and change it`s settings in there

btw , you may get more help if you get this moved to "networking" section , as its not really dreambox related !

What exactly is the problem? Reason I ask is that your OP seems to imply that the problem is with the 2nd router getting a different IP address yet your latest post talks about setting a static IP on the main/1st router?
