Is there any way of changing channels without using the V Box remote? I'm currently having to use the remote to move the Dish Position via the remote rather than it doing it automatically upon changing the channel.

I have a DM800 HD with OpenPli and Tunisiat add on.

I am Using Usals, with Sat Positioner
Thanks

if you connect the lnb cable to the vbox and use a
short link cable from the vbox to the receiver then the receiver
remote will change chns and move the dish

if your v-box is set for the sats you want on your sat list
then when you do the following the receiver will find all the sats
and scan the channels, if not you will have to scan each chn and save the setting the vbox should flash when you save the sat possition also set the box menu this way

menu >ok set up> ok service searching>ok tuner configuration>ok then useing left and right buttons set the tuner config mode to advanced next scroll down and select the satellite you wish to set then scroll down to lnb click right and set to lnb 1 next down to diseqc mode>click right
and set it to diseqc 1.2 next scroll down and zero the long/lat settings now scroll down to the next part of the panel on [use usuals for this sat] click right and set to [no] then if like me you search the sats from west to east set this sat ie: hispasat 30w at number 1 in the stored possition then move back up the list to satellite and click to change it to the next sat you want to scan then go back down and set usuals to off and change the sat number to 2 you do this for every sat you want to set and scan when all are set>click>ok
and on the next panel zap back to service before tuner set up>click.ok and exit the panel on the next panel that opens go to manual scan then on the second line down type of scan click right and change to multisat then click right again to enable all the satellites you have set on the list. next just
click.ok to scan the satellites. now you can sit back for a couple of hours if you've set quiet a number of sats from west to east

Worked an absolute treat, took a while to scan all them bloody channels from west to east, but got there in the end. I guess it was just a case of finding the SAT positions first and loading them in to the V Box and then configuring with the loaded positions in. Cheers for the help :)

and now you have all the sats and chns set,
if you save your chn list on the computer, next
time you re flash anouther image or do a factory reset
it wont remove the sat settings on the v-box so you
just need to set the sats in the box menu with the other settings
then re load your chn list and everything will just work as before
it only takes a few mins to be back up and running after flashing
a new image

you need the dreamboxedit on your computer
you will probily find it on the forum this editor
lets you up and download your chn list you can
also use it to sort the chns and make boquets etc
you also need to make a folder on your desktop
a open folder not a zip then name it dm800hd
and with the editor you can upload the chn list
and it will go in this folder

This info is great just what I have been looking for but may I ask a question in the same area please?

I have a DM800HD a Superbox III (V-Box) and (I think :-) a rough set up sat dish. I have the dish and mount pointing true south, Main mount angle set at 55.06 degrees with dish angle set at 7.02 degrees, my Lat is 54.4125?.

So I follow the advice above setting up first the V-Box and storing the sats without the 800HD connected then set up the 800HD as above?

Can I set up the V-Box and store all the info in it then use the 800HD to control the whole lot providing the list is stored on the 800HD.

Thanks. George

once you set the tuner in the advanced set up tuner mode
and have all the sats numbered as i said i always
set up from west to east and if you say start at
hispasat 30w and set at number 1 then set the box menu
for every other sat you want and number each sat in order
then the dm800 remote with move and set the set possitions
and you only need the v-box remote if you reset or deleate the
settings you have in the vbox memory
