read this a while ago and it is confirmed as a NORAD exercise and was presented to the us as a virtual terrorist scenario but as the dates are pre 9/11 there's somic not right here ....check the dates !
mainly due to this bit of cnn coverage ?

if thats so they arnt doing there job ....and or lying plain as the nose on your face !
