I wish to buy a diagnostics scanner and a Mercedes ML Key programming tool, and want to go in for the AVDI sold at http://vag-info.com/AVDI.htm especially for its Multi-brands cars diagnostic capacity and also for its Mercedes special function Immobilizer - Key Learning for Mercedes W163; Read/Write EEPROM of AAM/EAM control modules; Learn radio code of transmitter keys; Deactivate/Reactivate key. (http://vag-info.com/Mercedes%20Commander%20info.htm)

Prior to this, are there Members of this forum owner of this tool who could help me to know if works well for ML key programming, and if this is done just by learning in the immo their special transponder or need to read dump from AAM via Diagnostic socket to pre-code a blank PCF7935 before learning it to the immo.

It works fine for ML transponder programming. You only need a blank precoded transponder and then use "Learn Key". You don't need to read the EEPROM prior to programming the key.

transponder must be precoded in order for you to program with avdi. you must precode with tag key tool or purchase pre coded trnsponders from kapdiagnostics.com and by the way, the option works
