Hello,
Question about rosfar R260 and reading 912 out of circuit.
Can it read mcu when un-soldered?
If yes what are the wires designations as found in MCU datasheet:
Coax - gnd, reset?
Violet -?
Green -?
Black - GND
yellow- ?
Red -?

THanks

THanks eprommmazza. My question is still standing, can R260 be used as a generic 9s12 programmer and out of circuit, like ETL?
I tried it with MC9S12XDT256 and couldn't connect through security.
Used GND, +5V, Reset and BKGND

if you want to read out of circuit you will need to connect oscialtor or you can try to connect extal

So how to connect external quartz (two pins for quartz)?
White Coax to on pin and second pin to EXTAL on MCU?

white coax pin to extal pin on mcu. black coax to gnd as it is just shielding.

if you want to connect oscilator have a look on pcb and connect oscilator + caps.

It is more easy to read them in circuit. of circuit easiest way with etl + adapter board

yes you can .
but need to connect all not only 4 wire.
