What directory are these files going to m8 ?, all I can find is changing the mvi file ?

FTP Logos as Follows

bootlogos go in usr/share/
Radio logo go in usr/share/enigma2

I have a few bootlogo files in there m8, however the ones I downloaded are just named a.mvi, b.mvi and there's a few jpegs ?

strange. try there usually named as such

backdrop.mvi
bootlogo.mvi
bootlogo_wait.mvi
switchoff.mvi

etc

Dm800 and generally enigma2 boxes have 6 logos

1-Initial bootlogo : This one appears immediately at initial reboot and lasting about 40 seconds and before appearance of meoboot or barry allen menu
the file responsible for this is boot/bootlogo.jpg

2-The logo appears after the initial bootlogo and lasting depend upon the image from 1-3 minutes and the file responsible for this logo /usr/share/bootlogo.mvi

3-this logo follows the second one and called bootlogo_wait and located in usr/share/bootlogo_wait.mvi

4-Logo appear as background for the image and appear when restart enigma and called /usr/share/backdrop.mvi

5-usr/share/radio.mvi appears when playing radio channels

6-usr/share/switchoff.mvi appears when shutdown the dream

All these logos can be changed with what we like easily first logo bootlogo.jpg can be replaced by any pc picture with extension jpg and importantly dimensions should be 1280*720 pixels and copy this pc picture by dcc or any ftp program to folder /boot in dreambox

Adjustment in dimension can be done by the defualt windows program paint brush or if you want dimension adjustment with adding effects,texts or other to the picture you can use fantastic software snagit

other bootlogos are special video files with extension mvi , we can convert any pc image to mvi by the software called Dream Logo Generator_Dreambox 800/8000 and again importantly the image should be 1280*720 pixels before conversion to mvi

Anyone know how to convert pictures to 1280 x 720 to enable them to be used as bootlogos on DM800?

I have tried various software this morning but can't get 1280 x 720 which is what Dream Logo Generator requires.
I'm stumped

hello guys

ive download dream logo generator and coverted/change:
bootlogo.mvi
bootlogo_wait.mvi
backdrop.miv
switchoff_mvi

however there is a bootlogo.jpg: boot folder and i cannot edit the image or delete the image. can someone advise??

Been having a play and created these home nation bootlogo flags. There are original jpeg at 1280 x 720 for use with dream logo generator and the mvi files are in the rar you will need to rename them and put them where they need to go. Due to upload limits I have had to put the gui starting jpeg into rar as well look on next thread to get the idea. Different flag same design.
