windows messenger, need help"

hi ,, when i try to sign into windows messenger, with the right password, it keeps telling me,(signing into.Net messenger service failed because the service could not be found. please make sure that your connected to the internet,) RETRY OR CANCEL, but im on line with other web sites working fine? so im not sure what setting is telling it that im off line, any advice welcome,,thanks ranger.

try rebooting your web browser and try it again if on luck try cleaning you internet cookies and try again :)
