yamaha motor boat hours adjusting

Hello,

Maybe a little stranged thread, but is there anyone who has experience in adjusting hours in a yamaha motorboat ?
I heard that the hours are stored in 2 places. Have see years ago a ecu of a boat, and these where completely sealed and not possible to open.

I don`t have picture of it.
It`s a 2006, with 250 PK power.
I have see the ecu 1 time, but could not open because where full with coating.
