Hello,

the rubber connector of the lcd will be distorted , maybe plastic distorted as well
Just replace cluster

your solution is to replace display with its flat connector but for its price better is to look for an used one in scrap yards

ms eprom you touch the narrator with the hot air?

but I thought, since it is doing that when get hot, it`s due to some display backlight power supply...
