Hi guys i need to reduce the speed limit on this VAG EDC16U1 ecu, i have checked measured values with vcds and that showed 191kph, i need this to be reduced to 106 kph. I have tried every version of ecusafe from the site but none work on this file. This is a full read file with BDM100 Thanks

including the driver, there is no speed limit, you have too little power

Hi i dont understand your answer?? The ecu is limited to 191kph in measured values on vcds, i need to reduce this again.

Looks like nobody is able to read an understand your problem.
On most EDC15 and EDC16 you can activate the limiter via VCDS adaption channel. Try adaption channel 7
Otherwise use the attached bdmtogo-file.
I set the vmax inside eeprom to 106km/h

Thanks guys, the file i posted is the bdmtogo file, i also read the 95320 eprom to read the pin code, but that didnt let me access advanced settings on vcds. Do you know the login code for this ecu/adaptions?

you don't need the login for this. just go to adaption and select channl 7. can you set a value there?
you can set it only once!

I have tried this, it states security access required, i even tried the login code i read from the 95320 eprom,l with no success :(

I have just updated my software bdm100 from evc and it wont write to the ecu for some reason, my bdm is original evc?? i did notice the file is slightly bigger by 1 kb. I have attached the latest read with the bdm100 latest software.

will try later with latest winols.
have you tried security access? 28575?
after you should be able to set it via adaption channel 7

EDIT: it's not security access of course it is coding - II

Yes i,ve tried all ways, leaving it for now with ignition on as wrong login put in, everytime i try adaption channel 7 it says security access required??? This has got me stumped, i,ll attached the 95320 eprom to see if you can come up with a different access code, i have 01318.

Security access code from eeprom is for immo only.
logins for vmax, cruise control activation, general adaption, etc are all inside the flash!

Still wont allow me into adaption channel 07.
It accepts the 28575 login code, but says security access when adaption channel 07 is tried.

Finally got it sorted, thanks for your help!!!!

I know for most EDC16 CMDFlash tool has an option to change the speed limit, but about I've seen it didn't change nothing on the 29BL802, mpc or the e2p files. I've never tried to change down the speed limit but it should work the same that when changing it up. Unfortunately the ecu should be conected to the tool to do this work, so I could not help you.
