Mazda RX8 needle removal tips

any tips on these speedos?

needles seem to judder after being put back

Have you checked thay arnt just pushed in to far. You prob wouldnt push them in to far but just a thought mate.

its just that i did a few in past and one today and they always ha slight "judder"

got 1 more to do tomorow so was wondering if any had tips for the mazda dashes

COMMON ON THESE CARS, IF THE SPINDLE COMES OUT, NEED TO REPLACE MOTOR TRY TWISTING NEEDLE AT SAME TIME PULL UP

To repair these motors You remove the metal back case of the motor and there is a small pin hole in the white plastic back case. Find a stiff metal pin or very small drill bit or such like to push into this hole to keep slight presure on the internal gear whilst pushing the needle back on. Once happy the needle feels right You must make sure the needle then goes through its stepped sweep test when putting the igntion on. Best of Luck

It's an old picture that has been around for a few years Marti, and I think it is different to the new version.
but yes I agree with z786 get used to getting no thanks.

As rob said it's an old picture so I can't remember , I'd join the crystals and check dump
