Hello friends,
I tried to change the KM on a polo 2001 diesel, but without success!
I tried with vag commander, it connects to the ECU but not Kombi after I tried it with vag tacho v3.01 and all buttons are grayed out! I do not handling.
here's the ref's Dash: Kombiinstrument BOO V09, apparently this is a Motometer.
if anyone has succeeded in changing the KM on this type of dash, I will be grateful.
Thank you

hello,
thank you for your reply.
What is that on eprom as this kombi?
I have a Willem programmer USB (GQ-3X) with adapter for PSOP 44 PIN.
it can work with this adapter or have to buy another?
Another question, should desolder the EPROM OR can be read on the kombi?
do not hesitate if you have an idea on the material to buy.
thank's

should be a 24CXX , you need SOIC adapter to read this eprom using your programmer . you have to dessolder it from board to have a good dump

it is possible to read the SOIC without desoldering? using this adapter(see attached capture), I try to avoid because I do desoldering metrized wrong.

this is a clip that comes with each other directly on SOIC8 to avoid desoldering, you understand?
to the programmer, I have a USB Willem.

one thing to tell you. if you have no skill to dessolder it's the moment for getting it . if you don't want , this job is not for you. never play with clips, you will have bad surprises

there, you're scaring me!
I will make one last attempt with vag eepromer (read immobox), if it does not work, I start desoldering.
it is not my car, I must see with my friend, if he agrees to desolder the kombi (there may still)
I'll let you know

because I read on the forum, this car has the IMMO outside the kombi and it's impossible to read the kombi directly (I'll just try, I lose nothing)
you think it will not work with the clamp SOIC8? if the contacts are good there is no reason why it does not work!

i said what i have to say. now you have all infos between your hands.
no relation between immo and dash.
and if one day you need to read the immobox , you have also to dissolder the eprom (if valeo box should be a 24cXX) and that's quiet easy than older immobox where you have to remove a TMS370 or a HC05 "more than 4 pins". ;)
NO OBD solution for this car dash or immo
i think that my postes offend you because you have not hit any thanks for me , but sorry this is the right and best way to do good job

I thank you very much mastaflex aall information that you gave me.
Now thou hast indeed confirm that there is no solution by OBD and must necessarily pass through the box desoldering, I informed my friend and if he agrees, I attack.
thank you again
