I delete the FTDI, when I connect the Autocom to my computer that install the drivers again, and WORK perfect!

Low range, and outside antena is FAKE

Look in picture, solder small wire between BT modul antena and conector to outside antena.

Range is biger for BT.

You are right , try to compare xml files generated and calculted , it content timestamp.
I got a new fileactivation from here.
file activation file can be reused if we only deactivate licence or delete \appdata\autocom folders in documents and setting

expected HW problem, i have upgraded my 01.2011 one that was running very good and i have same message.

I thing you tested this cars with VAGCOM only on OBD/EOBD, only engine.
Espace have CAN protocol, and is write this on the batery&fuse compariment, near the connector OBD.(i garantee for this information because my father have Espace 2002 2.2dci).

If all usb/bluetooth configuration fails open your autocom, re-flow both boards, add solder in places where you see it's not enough. This could fix your autocom. Fixed one like that.

I believe the firmware has been erased from the 29F800 chip.
I did ask the suppliers who supplied it to send me a new chip but they refuse they say I need to send it back at my cost. Really not worth doing.
I havent a suitable programmer to reflash the said chip I only have the UPA.

Some of the units (clone) were sold with faults, the interface is detected but does not communicate with the vehicle, to repair this damage is to replace two integrated circuits (9241A) and two resistors (390 ohm)

Yes as long as your Interface is of GOOD QUALITY............. Also make sure when updating the Firmware the vehicle battery is fully charged or keep the engine running..........

I still believe that it only needs re-flowing. I've had one with same problem and that's how was fixed. After re-flow autocom interface should be found on usb ports. Then you can update firmware. :idea: You can try m8 there's nothing to lose.

Are you saying your computer coudn`t find the autocom and thats why you refowed?
My autocom is found fine by the pc via USB it just doesnt finish the update after its connected.

I've had both situations. You can still re-flow boards and hopefully would fix your firmware problem. After re-flowing firmware upgrading worked OK.

My advice for you it to buy from a seller from your city.He had test the interface, and offer warranty.If appear problems you can meet with him and explain him the problem.But the cost will be biger with some $$$

I tried it on Iveco Stralis & 2 Autocargo 2005 & 2008 but cant connect!

Autocom is a very good interface for this money.How you pay, like that will work.But is better like others.
For example i write 2 key on VW Sharan after i had extract the Pin with another tool.
And on Skoda Superb who have problems with key lock driver door, i have adaptate remote control in 5seconds.

In my contry(Romania) we have a talk:
" Vrei si cu pula in cur si cu sufletul in rai"
That means:
"You wont **** in ass and soul into heaven". :)

autocom not work anymore,i try to reinstall software,try on different laptops same result:
try to connect to car no communication,so i go to settings to do hardware setup and here then i try to look for com port(automatic or manual search),i see no communication+firmware not loaded and another table with***incorrect firmware version,please update your firmware***i try to do updates(connect to car wait around 5 min.) and all process was OK,but when try again to locate com port again same story...divers looks Ok,computer recognize autocom(vci device found),but something missing...............maybe,anyone have same problems?i check all connections,soldering, maybe problem in 29f800.......here my file of this chip....any ideas?

But I got to the firmware updater and do hear the relay slam during a test of communication??? the interface is well recognized on the USB port, I can deduce that the FTDI is OK.

I tried BT is the same! I think rather a problem of 9241A or flash on the 29F800 but I got update to version 3-2011?

Ioanrokos, please look at here ;) this is my modificated MB 38pins adaptor who had only 3 wires inside ( +,- and another one).
I had modificate it at last evening :D and today i had try it on w210 , and it's working :proud:
Readed car was w210 300d TD 1998 but it can not be find on the list, but i had choose 2.9 or somethink like this with sistem EVE. and read the fault codes and clean it too.
It readed climatronic, ABS,Immo,SRS, and others.

hi i have 2011.3 autocom can i use this interface with sw autocom 2012.2 or delphi 2012.2 is it possible to firmware update by the autocom setting if i update interface 2012.2 is it possible again use with older autocom 2011.3 i ask because i have two laptop one is loaded sw 2012.2 and other sw 2011.3 i want to use both pc or i have to use this 2 pc same sw

that is strange.there may be a error with the tool.you should be able to read the serial with this,and tool just in usb.

I've heard this, too. New cdp+ is different, old tools for s/n change don't work on it.

I think the 6-digit serial from cdp+ should work with 2012 software.

There is no sw2012.01 or 2012.02, there is only 2012.1-2, so there is only one activation. There are differences between 2011.1 and 2011.3 and 2012.1-2.

I've problem with old CDP and 2011.3 soft Cars.
I've all installed from serial and HW key what seller sent me, then i test VCI while connected to car, and its fine. Then i update firmware, and it's fine. I connect to my Mondeo MK3 to read faults - everything is fine. Then i go to other car, for example today i had Volkswagen T4, and when i try to read faults, i got VCI error. I go back to my Mondeo and it's not working anymore - i got VCI error.
I uninstall all, install back again, then i can again read faults, etc on my Mondeo, then other car is not working anymore, and so on...

Any clue if this is driver/software/hardware problem? I don't know how to solve it, but it's irritating me like hell :(
Had tested it on 2 PCs, with Win 7, admin rights and Win XP SP3 compatibility, VCI connected as COM1 9600 bps.
Uninstall with delete driver and install back again does not help. Only full uninstall of CDP and install back

It's working, tested on 525 '93.
Atention!! After market adaptor have only 4 wires inside.Others have the fifth wire but it is cuted; this wire is for SLR( this was my situation) ;)

This is how you must do:
Uninstall the old autocom software.

I did not remember about leds but I think it glows when i power the interface. Now it lit blue when the interface is idle and blink from blue to green when I start the diag program and software is searching for modules. yes I am sure about this problem, I previously owe a cdp which has problems with bmw e90 and e60. I sold it out and buy cdp+ but did not uninstal the software. When cdp+ arrive I try to connect on the software from my computer and I experince same problems as you did. I even activate in cdp a device with serial 100251 and the software did not recognize my interface. After that I uninstall the software and install it again, this time from the begining I enter the new serial 100251 and the icon from the software from desktop apear now Cars CDP+. I activate my interface with keygen and now the software recognise my interface. The tool for changing the serial did not work with new tipe of interfaces

Correct, those product ID's are for CDP+, the ones you were using before were for CDP (Pro)

It always connects to engine, however ABS and AIRBAG modules are sometimes not accessible...

I tried the other day to connect to peugeot and renault ABS and it was not working...

Renault Clio ABS actually kind gets connected but after relays inside autocom go haywire but it connects... however it can not keep connection...

With Citroen C8 I was unable to access ABS.... :( ABS light on dash was blinking but it was unable to connect...

On VW models for instance connect OK to all modules...

Is there anything it can be done to this autocom to fix this...

The stars denotes updates where added over the older version of software. They may come as newly added makers of cars/models or even new functions added to some old modules. If you don't like them you can turn them off in menu.

It means "new/updated features in comparision with previous relase".

You can even turn it on or off in menu settings.

Practically it means that there will be new system/model/procedure coverage. Follow items with "star" and last one is item with news! :driver:

Perhaps the best solution is to buy another device than suffer with the old restoration.
While taking into account instructions for repair, which was pointed out above, it is possible to repair
If you buy a device, then the seller's reputation are important.
And perhaps the best new black one plate inside.
Although there are varying views on my experience faster and more stable work for a new device.
Even with the quality of B without LED lighting.

I own complacency cdp pro clone from 6 months and up to now has always worked well
I diagnosed the car list is this
mercedes clk 270cdi year 2004 all ok no problem
ford fiesta 1.4 tdci year 2003 all ok
bmw e60 530d dpf accurate control unit without any problems
fiat punto evo 2012 I used the 2011 model is listed but okay diagnosis could
bmw e46 320d 2002 I reset a spy and updated on-board computer
audi q5 2011 2000tdi 170hp no problem
renault megane 2011 1.5 dci I could not get into the engine control unit

Yes , I have problems too with generic OBD .
On CDP pro and CDP+
Although the normal OBD connection is OK.
Especially good work + CDP, even if he is a quality B
However, of great importance is the correct identification of the block.
Sometimes it helps to use the VIN code.
Probably best solution for only OBD diagnostic is ELM 327 with Scanmaster ELM

Open your AutoCom clone and check are all of capatitors near voltage regulator (3 of them) rated for 35 Volts. :ciao:

It is not problem connected with USB port (I suppose that you are using PC with at least USB 2.0 ports), that problem is related with specific comm protocol used for specific car.:hmpf:

What car you have tested? Maybe it's some of older MY (2000 and earlier)? Please be more specific!:musicus:

Or maybe you are using USB BT adapter for bluetooth connection with VCI?

Aaah, e39 MY '97 has verrry sloow communication via K line, dont worry it is OK for this car, please try with some newer cars after 2004 which uses CAN type of communication.:musicus:

Can somebody help me with my problem,i have installed 2011.3.5 software with 30250 serial,then it shows no vci found error,i have installed again,now there is no more no vci error,but i have to make firmware update every time i use it before i start,pc has internet conection,is it posible that i have to change serial on device because its blacklisted?

i have gold diagnostic version autocom.

Corsa 1.0 2002 was ok, all modules conecting.
Old 2 pcb with first verions 2011.1, next was 2011.3, 2012.2 and now 2012.3

I have the same sort of thing. Mine just looks a cheaper poor looking version. In the second picture mine doesn't have the black square component at the bottom left. Is that a speaker of sorts?

Also, I have no flight recorder function. I have a 2GB mini SD inserted but it can't see it. Anyone have any ideas?

As for flight recorder format your sd card

STEP 1: To create a Flight Recorder session, you will first need to select the parameters/real time data that you want to record.



STEP 2: You start by opening the customised data list in the real time data menu in the diagnostic program.



STEP 3: You can choose to create a session for all system types (Engine, ABS, A/C etc), but only for one system at a time, as the vehicle can***8217;t communicate with multiple systems at the same time.



STEP 4: When you***8217;ve selected the parameters, they will be tested on the vehicle to verify that the data is valid. Your parameter selections are then transferred to CDP+ and a Flight Recorder session is created. Previously recorded data and templates are deleted upon creation of the new session.



STEP 5: You can then disconnect CDP+ from the computer and vehicle, and start the Flight Recorder when you are test driving the vehicle. Multiple sessions/recordings can be saved on CDP+ and you can select the sessions you want to upload before saving them on your computer.

DURING TEST DRIVE

STEP 6: Start a new session by pressing and holding the button on CDP+ until the indicator turns yellow and the CDP+ unit makes a short audible tone.The yellow light then starts to rotate to indicate that data is being recorded.



STEP 7: To easily find the part of the data where the symptom occurred, you can earmark symptoms in the session. To do this, briefly press the ***8216;Flight Recorder***8217; button.

Greetings from sunny Arizona, USA! I have a newbie question directed to obviously a chinese clone of the Autocom. One of my workers purchased this unit from China...Played with it all day and have some questions.
1. It comes with 3 CD's - first is a 2011 - 1, second is a 2011 -3, third CD is the last update 2012-2.
2. I have started installing the 2011 - 3 disk first on a windows 7 (64), it did not work. The instructions are poorly written and the video is even worse. The install goes through, I erase the Application Data folder (Autocom) and then the window for activation pops up again.
2. I erased everything, and installed the oldest CD- 2011 -1, this disk worked great and the unit is functional.
3. Since I have the other disks, which obviously are updates - I would like to install/update. Is there something I am missing? The serial number on the 2011 - 3 is 30250 (which I understand is blacklisted?). Any input would be greatly welcome!:manuscarf:

You can't update any of them unless you uninstall all software
And then install newest software
Not knowing the quality of your cdp pro ? My advice at the minute would be just to install software 2012 r2 due to least software an firmware update is killing china clones then patch offline then run activation manual mode save file to desktop post up on the forum in the proper thread for your software an version your XML file tobe activated

Thank you for your input - that makes sense. So obviously, next in line is the 2011 - 3 install. I do have the Keygen, is the serial number still OK? As far as the firmware, the only way I can see the unit receiving a firmware is if it is Online in some way?
