I have problem with clio sagem dash with NEC 780973 mcu,I put 14 wires and i lift pin 12 but with upa i have problem for read it,what the problem, i have error message"BAUDRATE CAPTURE ERROR"

mate u should be pin 11 wrong check connetting

never succeed read this MCU using UPA. better for you to try reading it on board not in circuit (need to remove it). only good solution is nec programmer.

14 connections are necesary for connecting with NEC programmer ( etlweb maker ), for UPA there are other connections.
So : Etlweb NEC programmer - 14 connections incircuit sw dedicated for NEC MCU;
UPA - less connections, script for NEC MCU.

If you are reprog often NEC dash MCU you think in invest a little money in a NEC MCU Etlweb programmer.

as far as i know, i never succeed reading this dash with upa. this time you will have to find someone who have nec programmer.

look i have read these clusters vith upa and vith no problem just use diga viring diagram lift pin 9 and 12 and loook in upa pdf vhere you connect cable 11, then go to upa viring and choose 3.3v. and must read. but if you have baud capture error you have shorted two of first 8 vires. always use multimeter vhen doing nec mcu. and never use tahosoft calculation it vill always show 0 on cluster, it doesnt calculate cksm right. post dump and someone vill corect it for you or look at my threads there are several dumps vith different milage posted

mate i did many clio whit upa for clone only change pin 11 to connect pin 18 thats it

all i means is why some people puts pw on the shared files? i belive that we re here to help and to get help no matter if i'm good on fix up odometers or ecu no matter if you can make script i belive i shared and i'll share that all i know for free and no pw) till when i get banned ... have nice day all.

You can read NEC with UPA, using the adapter included, works perfect ! But of course you have to take down the processor, but is easier than soldering 14 cables....
