Hi I have new S9 from ebay(uk), and setting it up, after changing from old Liberty CI9800.
All channels are $encryted with few FTA, found on other boxes. Even Aljazeera on hotbird is $, so figured it must be firmware issue.
I'd like to know what I need to get proper FTA as well FREESAT on this box? Can anyone help (please)
Looking into firmware is where my trouble started. ie.e. Whats all this about clones??? (search, search)
Loads out there and most inaccessible for sometime due to forum restrictions. Current firmware is CHDS2-11-04-04 0474. CCID 0202. Pressing 77777 or 88888's does nothing.
Waiting on Hds2_cmt_110509090d to check. I imagine there are probablt a few mfrs in China who all claim to make original boxes and competition is clone from any.
Basically my previous experience on old box was with Softkeys, Cards & Cams. CLINE etc is all new.
I just want to get started with best of basics and am grateful for a good (clear) point in the right direction!
