Quicky, Looking at making/getting a barrel planter..

Was looking at this

Veg Trug - Agriframes (http://www.agriframes.co.uk/veg-trug.html?___store=english&___store=english)

but.... in essence, the makers take daylight robbery to the next level.. once you toss in 2-3 bags of compost, add your flowers.. your looking at something that you'l resent for years to come and probably end up framing the receipt and hanging it in the garage..

Anyhoo.. has anyone see floating around some "blue prints" so one could make myself???

you dont have to go for the nice looking wooden planters, too expensive it just not worth doing. I just get the plastic ones from pound shop, although i got an allotment for my main veggies, i use these around the garden to grow salad stuff. tomato, peppers, leaf salad and the long trough like plastic ones for lettuces, spring onions, radishes. look close enough you can see they tied together with some left over coaxial cable. you can just wash these out use them for many years to come.

if ya have room why not make a raised bed cheap
and very practical ya can make a massive one for about a tenner
just a matter of getting soil to fill it and compost
or try here all the ideas ya could ever think of with instructions Living - Gardening - How to Make Instructables (http://www.instructables.com/tag/type-id/category-living/channel-gardening/)
