Hello.
I am searching for someone able to remove the post catalytic (bank2) lambda sensors from E46 BMW, 328i, MS42 engine ecu.

I don't have damos for this type of ecu, I would have tried to do it myself.

I do not need just the engine check light gone from the instrument panel, I really need these sensors disabled by software, as engine doesn't run ok based on the limp mode value for these (0.45V).

Ori file attached.
Regards,
Alex

Post cat lambda sensors are used for monitoring the catalyst. They do NOT have any influence on the way this engine runs.
What are the symptoms? Any fault codes present?
Any history of defective spark plug/coils, or injectors?

Yes. There have been the same issues on the MS43 cars later. BMW made a recall and released software fixes like
1. E36/7/7C C25655A8 EU4
2. E39 C256J5A8 EU4
3. E46/4/2/C C25665A8 EU4
4. E46/3 C256G5A8 EU4
5. E46/4/3-16 C25695A8 EU4
6. E39/2 C256A5A8 EU4
7. E53 C256Z5AH EU3
The ecus had reported wrong misfire detections. This could be caused by internel engine noise through normal rattling but inside factory tolerances.

A common fix for the MS42 cars was/is (after checking all coils are OK etc.) to use the same spark plugs but from a different manufacturer like bosch to NGK. I know of unlucky combinations of bremi coils in combination with bosch sparkplugs. Changed to NGK and all was fine.
Not logical but true.

No other faults than open circuit on both post-catalytic lambda sensors.
I made this mod before on a ME1.5.5 ecu, Astra Z20LET engine, and succedeed, but now I don't have Damos for this MS42.

I know that as usual it shouldn't matter for the engine running if post catalytic lambda's are off, as they do only "check" if your catalytic converter is ok or not, but I thought that limp mode value set for these both sensors may influence the way the engine is running specifically on this type of ecu, MS42.

If you have no ability to disable rear o2 sensor or disable P0420 DTC, you can use something called "cell fix pipe"
It looks like this:

Megan SS Mechanical o2 Fix (CEL Fix)?::?EVO 8/9 Cat-back Exhaust?::?EVO 8/9 Exhaust?::?Exhaust?::?LancerShop.com | Lancer Evolution Performance Parts (http://www.lancershop.com/customer/product.php?productid=1259)

I was using it on many Lancers Evo, before I learn how to disable rear O2 sensor. It have worked perfectly.

Best regards

Thanks, but I prefer the software mod.

Any help is appreciated.

Also willing to pay for an already tested solution.

what DTC does it shows?

Best regards

I don't know the DTC exactly, but it is reffering to open circuit on both post catalytic lambda's.

Read DTC, and let us know.
