I own a cool Mitsubishi pajero 3500 V6 GDi 2002 , i cant find any tool to read via obd this car.

All interest everybody is into tuning european cars, most vag cars that are easy ,everybody just winols..

I would like a real specialist to help some info about a tool to read mitsubishi toyota nissan ecuus via obd ,and a provider for tuned maps.

Its not a wise thing to open japanese ecuus and read because if do something wrong then ha ha ha cant find at spare parts dealers any ecuus for japanese , these cars never die to find spare parts everywhere like the european cars.:canabis:

Was this sold as a european car or a jdm that was imported used?

The jdm vehicles have all sorts of different diagnostic systems, very few of which are OBD or OBD2 compatible. But the same cars sold in europe have different ECU's, different wiring and usually OBD compliant.

I have a jdm nissan similar to an Almera, it has a zexel ECU and only Nissan's CONSULT diagnostics. The european almera of the same age has a Bosch ECU and OBD2.

firstly you will need a openport cable......you can get this cable with mapping software, and it is a good tool for the mitsi range, but i dont no if it will do the shogun, but i would have thought it does,as you need the fly wire in other diag port to flash........let me no how you get on...i am no tuner, but like you want to get into mitsi....

Piasini is good for Japanese cars and also you can buy files from them.

Piasini interface needs to open some ECU's. It's hard thing to do in ex. in Honda Type-R ecu.
Piasini tuned files for N/A cars are quite good, but for turbocharged cars (like Lancer Evo) are hopeless.
Better option is to use OpenPort 2.0 for Subaru, Mitsu and Mazda. It will cover most of Japanese cars for tuning. For Honda best option is to use Hondata or standalone ecu.

Best regards

All true. I've totally forget about OpenPort and ECUFlash combination. Pretty cheap combination indeed.

Another 2 cents...

You should also look for OpenPort 1.3 cable. It's good for logging, some dataloggins software does not work with 2.0 (ex. Learning View).
1.3 cable can also solve problems with old (2001-2005) Impreza WRX cars (which need external plug for flashing opration). 2.0 Openport cable sometimes does not flash them (today I had one of scoobys which didn't flash with 2.0 and flashed it with any problem with 1.3)

In a few days I will test MazdaEdit with some MPS. But I think it's good option... cheap, and of course using OpenPort 2.0!

Hi Kuba,
I have 2 openport two's and one openport 1.3 and all three work with learning view and all three flash all the non CAN cars. I use these all the time with the Subarus. The OP2's of course you need for CAN. I know some guys have had problems with the drivers in the past and required firmware upgrades for the OP2 but once everything it upto date they all work very well
you need the OP1.3 for really early logging software like ecuexplorer and WPSM select monitor.
Actually I did have one car 04 STI and the earlier OP2 wouldn't flash but the later version 'E' with the metal clip would flash it. It seemed to be related to the voltage seen at/supplied to the flash block so maybe this earlier version is the same as yours.

I've read a 3.5 mitsubishi before for fun but I have no definitions and the car had no turbo so meh..why bother :)
