Can someone explain how does oscam use the cache for the ecms.
In webinfo for oscam and under users one of my mates has used 1582 ecms under the ok section and under the cache section there are 390.

How does all this work ?

Just had this reply from another forum.

Basically mate, if Ive got this right what it does is if you as the local user and your friend as the remote user are watching the same channel, he will then recieved the `cached' ecm's that you have just used, so it then does not have to access the card again, making the process much quicker.

Hope I have got that right, im sure I will be told if I have not.. haha.

Works as said above but not only for same channels but transponders and caids. However with Oscam I am sure there are two options that you can define but never looked at them.

The default cache should work fine for a standard set up. However that's purely for local use as we do not allow CS discussions here sorry.
