I'm trying to repair a bad ecu (corrupt e2proms) in a BMW 725TDS for almost a month.

the ecu is a 373 with soft 660 and 661 (eproms 27c1001)

i have tried the most common things... using immo disabling softs but none of their TDS dumps works...

Original ecu got circuit burned in the 27c1001 area,
so i read 93c46 and eproms to copy to an used ecu (also 373 but from a 525TDS).

I wrote this 4 files into their IC's.

Car cranked but didnt start.

Then i called one guy with GT1 to come to my shop and realign the rolling code.
Same result... Cranks but doesnt starts...

No errors in ews.
dde gives error 112 although its a manual transmission...

Here go the 4 files plus the ews and ike files read with PAsoft
:stoned:

Can read EWS with upa-usb if necessary...

how to read ews3 upa? have built a pin? thanks.

you have to cut some traces on board and connect upa pins.
or remove it and read with an extra oscillator...

I need only the data from 2 eeproms 93c46 from a 7 series DDE 2.2. so i can fake its a used ecu and use DIS GT1 to recode and align...

If anyone has virgin dumps (not the files on immo softs around here) i'm glad to buy them

Do you have dump from ews?

Do you have dump from ews?

im sorry, but what for?
can you disable a ews 3.3? if yes i'll desolder the damn thing tomorrow and read it. if not... why bother? i have inpa dis sss now to align and code modules... and EWS can be recoded to an used ecu right?

as i said before, trying to start the car without the eproms being well connected corrupted the e2proms (93c46)...
and the car stopped controlling the pump regulator (tested working fine on bench).

my problem is i can't get dumps from anywhere from a 725 tds from late 97 onwards...

if someone reads them for me i can get the car to work by synchronizing the "new" ecu to the ews...

EWS - DME can rematch with special editor.
Get ISN/password from dme and put to ews.
Next you can resynchrone with gt1/inpa.

ISN is (hex) 0xD74 in both ecu and ews...

resync goes OK with gt1...

ISN i can get.
password in inpa says: ECU_REJECTED

Well i got the car to start with 945 946 software and respective e2proms.
Just burned the left (immo) 93c46 and the 2 27c1001.
Did a realignment and voila...

Now let's see if 945 its fully compatible with this car...

Thanks for the help
