do all the functions work on the new installed cluster? also was your mileage on new clock higher or lower than old one?
If memory serves me( or it dont) there is also another chip to swap, ill go have a look so long.

I've done it before and it worked fine although I was told it wouldn't.

Hi any update guys?
long time since i fiddled with this thing, and just asked a mate still working for merc. The cluster is also part of the drive auth. system in some small way. There is another ic there that has to go too. Cant remember the one exactly, but it has a lable stuck on it with version no. etc. (Thats what i seem to remember)

It's true just transferring the 24c info from the original cluster (or swapoing the ic itself) will not get rid of the lines because of the drive authorization. Just drop the mileage to 0 km and once installed, use DAS to go to Control Unit Adaptations. From there you can learn this cluster to the drive authorization. You can also use Initial Startup but it's a little bit longer and you don't really need it as all your coding is correct since it's your original 24c that's there.
