Probably you will need to use SA Ecu like Emerald K6, MEMS 3 is (as far as I know) not programmable ECU.

Best regards

MEMS 3 is programmable, there are a few people who offer tunes for them. One of the original calibration developers is over on MG-Rover.org and runs
http://www.zandf-tuning.co.uk

As with all Rover products, don't expect *anyone* to share any info (present forum company excluded); the proprietor of said firm was particularly scathing of anyone wanting to try and reverse the MEMS 3 ecu :(

i know mems 3 is programmable, ive been playing with a zr 1.4 with galletto.
And as for the mems 3 man you refered to, im pretty sure i have done a couple of immo off's for him on some mems 3 vvc ecu's.
He asked me if i would tell (and show) him how, and when i asked why, he said he runs a mems3 tuning company.
now i ask for a map, he dont answer.
Might just buy one off him in someone elses name and then read with galletto and post it all over this forum!!(without password of course).

I was thinking along the same lines to be honest :)

I've done a few MEMS 1.x turbo immo off jobs for the ZR turbo brigade and they all seem to want something for nothing :(

Should also point out, I've used Galletto to clone the TF135 ECU file into 1.4s that have been converted; I'll have a root around and post the file up later :)

v8 dave: what engine size is the tf135, 1800cc?
if so, is the file the same as a standard 1.8 rover 45? as i have put a 1.8 in my little brothers rover 25 1.1 and fitted the ecu from doner car, might be worth loading your file to this.

TF135 is a 1.8 with dual VVC exhaust cams and the VVC style inlet. They're good for the bolt on route without the ballache of going VVC.

Yes it is, you just need to hot air off the PLCC32. As usual though, work has been done, but no one will share as the Rover scene is populated by tight arses.

Here is a Dump from an MG ZR if someone wants to have a bash at Modding it

That looks like flash area? Any chance you can get a full flash? IIRC it's 512k

Poxy external drive is refusing to spin up, got all my flash files on it. Fortunately got it backed up elsewhere or I'd be mighty pissed :(

I can dig out the original firmware and tunes as loaded up by testbook if that is any good to you?

V8 Dave: I was under the impresion the tf 160 was the vvc, and the 135 was just a straight 1.8?
If so, should just be able to load up a 135 read to a 120.
And i read with galletto, and file size is only 16k, I read from a zr 1.4 yesterday.

Correct, the 160 was VVC, 120 was not. The 135 was not VVC but it used two VVC exhaust cams (VVC being inlet side only) as it had slightly more lift and duration than the stock 120 cams. It also used the VVCs high volume/big bore inlet manifold and a different map to give the extra 15bhp over a stock 120.

I swore galletto reads were supposed to be 512k on this ECU. It's been some time since I played with them as I lost interest for a fair while so I accept if I'm mistaken.

Right, interest has been piqued again; external HDD went pop so starting from scratch. Just off out to Craplins to grab a PSU and some heatshrink before I knock up a bench harness and start playing. Been promised a sniff of a remapped MG TF 135 ECU if I can ever get this poxy Galletto clone working.

OK, bench harness working. Galletto pulls a 16k file out of any MEMS3 ECU (tried 1.4, 1.6 and TF135 1.8 ECU).

Can flash any combination of solid cam (not VVC) files to any solid cam ECU and it'll read back and verify the same as the file flashed to it.

I don't currently have a car to try it on, but someone I've been chatting to has said that doing exactly what I do, his fuel pump is not priming and the car won't run. It's not immo adaption either as this has been checked with a T300.

Anyone gone any further with this? Is there a boot mode available? Or a better tool to use? I see Byteshooter has this ECU listed but that's a tad expensive...

Quite a bump I know but it's not quite 2015 yet so thought i'd be quick ;)

Anyone have any new developments of this?

If you just program 16k galletto from one ECU to another then you are using a different fuel variant (most of the time) therefore engine won't start. The only way to copy maps is to open the original 16k read in winols or similar and copy maps from the other 16k file, that way your keeping the original fuel variant and just changing map, beware that there can be map o***ets

Hi Members
You can read mems 3 ecu for MG TF with kess v2 using Land Rover TD5 protocol. Can anyone please help with a tuned file for MG TF 160 please?
Thanks

Hi There Ecutuners

I noticed on the forum that you had some MG TF tuned files.

Any chance of getting some from you please?

Thanks
