VAG K+CAN USB Help

Guys, i hve this 1.4 Vag k Can commander(china). it always worked fine.

Today i tried to use it..and detects it as Ross Tech Direct USB interface. as a USB port.

I need it back to LPT and COM ports section under device manager, so i can adjust the COM settings to match the software.

What hs happened to it? why now it detects it as USB? instead of COM? i tried reinstalling it..and various FTDi drivers...no luck

try another interface on the same laptop.

i tried on 5 PCs, i managed to reprogram the Eeprom thanks to my old friend ipejasinovic, i ll check tomorrow and let everyone else know.

No, dont need ,MProg is your frend: FTDI Utilities (http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Utilities.htm)

downloaded FT prog from there, and used a backup template. i cant seem to find it right now. But it can be done in 5 min with Ft prog, no need to desolder or open anything

i have same problem with the interface vagkcan 1.4...i think the car is not compatible...

Finaly I repaired with modify some driver files and rewrite, I makit a 2.5 cable with rewrite.
