Hello,
A friend of mine has an Audi A3, and needs to change the dash.
His dash is a jaeger 8L0920900B. Does anyone know the way to read the pincode from this dashboard? Is it possible to do it with k+can commander?

Best regards.

Thank you for your advice, but we are going to install a new dash, so we can't do that you say. We have to try on this dash.
What option in k+can would you use if you had to read a jaeger dash? As I know, there isn't a particular option for these dashes, and I don't know how I can read this one.

Hi
its very simple

read eeprom from original dash, it will be 93c66 or 93c86
save it,SAVE1

then read eeprom from new dash and save it,SAVE2

then load eeprom from original dash SAVE1 and write in in new dash

you will get clone dash from original

for this you can use VagTacho, work good and fast on obd!!!

Ok, and can I do this if the new instruments cluster has a different part no? The new one will be 8L0920900GX.

On the other hand, isn't possible to do anything with k+can? Even read pincode from ECU? I'm asking this because I have it, but don' t have VagTacho.

Although, if VagTacho is my solution I don't mind to buy it.

Regards.

When You dont have VIN number in identification with VCDS Your car is immo2 and PIN is only stored in dash.
