Was wondering if anyone else is having any problems with some channels sticking. Can't actually get a picture on paramount 1. Paramount1+1 is ok but Para 2 is sticking. Most if not all of mtv channels.

I had changed the ucodes from 001a to 0014 as it stopped recording on certain channels. but thats all i have done.

Setanta 1 is pretty hopeless too.

I'm using the don version2 on a nokia, it was running perfect since the changing of the keys, and the fix has been installed fine.

Any ideas or tricks

Try going back to ucode 001A and see if it improves.

Also, on a dodgy channel, press RED then BLUE and note the SNR value.

This needs to be above 55,000 before the channel will clear and it needs to be about 62-64,000 before it will be perfect without any freezing. Anything inbetween those values can result in the channel freezing or sticking.

Remove a splitter and connect it to the main feed and see if the signal SNR value increases. If it does then you know it's a low signal. You can connect your splitter back up but you'd probably need a booster to increase the SNR.

But try and ucode first.

Well thats it Glen, removed the split and plugged it in straight from the main feed and it was perfect on all channels. Just above 62,000. Attached back to the splitter and some channels are still okay but some are sticky again and at the 56,000 mark. At least i know what it is now. Thanks again Glen

It's mentioned on another post in the forums somewhere. It's on ebay but i think with postage it's the same price.

Yes the yellow brick is supposed to be the muts nuts when it comes to signal amplifiers.

There's quite a few others on ebay but not sure how effective they are.

I tried all this when my system started sticking, in the end I jsut bought a normal signal booster from Asda, people are always saying they don't work, but they do...
