Hi Guys,

I have a Vectra B here with a X20DTL engine. The "mechanics" before me replaced the injector pump with a used one, but with that the check engine light was flashing and the car did not start!
After they installed an other injector pump. With this there's no CEL, but the car won't start.

There's no fuel at the injector lines (like when the fuel shut off switch is active).

I've tried to read the dump from the immo, but OPCOM said - "EEPROM readout was not sucessfull, there are only zeros"

I've read out the EEPROM dump from the instrument cluster with OPCOM. - see attached file.

I would need the security code form that dump!

Thanks,

Tibi

you must reset ECU on pump it can be done with Tech2 or with Cryptowork from Nasratech

can it be done with Opcom?

btw. I'm still looking for the security code!!!!

if you reset the old ecu, you must give in the old code, after that you can do for car(canviant code stb..)

ithe new immo tool(v1.2) it is know the eciu resenabout 24c04...

BUT n his read24c04 is wrong, or this car old(<2001) but it know the immo killer

there is no problem by swiching pumps on opel there is no immo in pump so you just plug and play. you cant read pin code from instrument cluster you have to take out the immo box vich is near steering lock and desolder tms and post dump here or go to opel dealer and order it by chasis nr. so i assume you have pump problem first check for dtcs in engine ecu and then go deeper in it.

on an opcom site I've read that these pumps are somehow coded, and after replacement you have to code them to the car...

I am confused!

only psg16 pump after 2003 on astra g need reset on swap.
psg 5 as your car has no need reset.

Am sorry but i get confused with some terms here, what ECU is in your car ? i just did an immo off one some days back.

The ECU is a Bosch 0 281 001 631

http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k545/TestorVTS/IMG_20110617_110313.jpg

it's an Immobiliser I. system (the security code is correct! Thanks :) )

The fuel pump is a PSG5 - it has one plug:

here: vectra 2.0 diesel 1999 diesel pump code (http://www.ilexa.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,18134.0.html)

I've read that these pumps need no coding, so it should work, but still, when checking with OPCOM I get these parameters:

first one: Fuel shut off switch - active
second: Immobiliser - active
third: Immobiliser sign - present

So it seems like the ECU shuts off the fuel supply to the injectors with the fuel shut off switch... :banghead:

I've attached the ECU dump btw.

What am not sure about is that the Bosch number i see should have a 24C04 not a 24C02 like you have, can you confirm? Also, is this Bosch an M1.5 or M2.8 or what?

There are four SOIC8 EEPROMS on the pcb.

1.:
30281
MX730
A4036

2.:
290731
94967B

3.:
B57498
76T
ATD1

4.:
B75AF
B58383

I've read the 4th. as a 24C02. Is that possible that I was wrong, and I should read that again as a 24C04?
Or did I read the wrong EEPROM?

btw. I've read out the PSG5 pump with Bosch KTS, and there was only one fault:

57 - Injection actuator control (remaining control deviation)

On the engine ECU now there are the following faults:

P1220 - Injection start control (regulation difference)

P1651 - CAN serial data line "torn"

I've tried to bled the system with a vacuum pump, but it was very difficult to get a bit of diesel fuel out of the pump (I've connected the pump at the return line, which goes back to the tank)

I've spoken to an injector pump spcialist, that it's common with these pumps, that when the pump stood for a longer time, and then the pump is rotated (before the installation into the car) the pistons inside pump can stick at the inner position. So the pump can rotate free, but it will not develop any pressure at the injector lines - like in my case.

HI YOU HAVE BOSCH EDC 15M SYSTEM WITH 24C04 EPROM AND IS B58383 .READ LIKE 24C04 AND I WILL TRY TO GIVE YOU DUMP IMMO TOTAL DECODING OR HERE GET YOUR FREE EDC15-16 CAL http://www.abritus72.com/download.html

B58383 is 24C02, check the under side as SCS-MEM says for the 24c04

there are only those four SOIC8 EEPROMS in the ECU as listed above!

two on the top, and two on the bottom!

so, if it's not the B58383, then which one?

don't really know... if it has the same injector plug, then yes ;)
