2008 year and no dpf? Something strange... Look at maps. He has dpf. 170cv it's optimal, considering on original hardware..

This is bosch ecu from 140cv most vag edc16 have dpf in software but not have the hardware

This motor accept with no problem 180/185 hp.
But be carefull of your turbo...

M8 first of all, means : Mate ... second, 140 BHP Golf V to 200 BHP? without other modifications? ...meaning a MOD file that lasts... not the kind that blows turbo, injection pump or the whole engine all together? we must have a VAG GURU in here.a BIG difference between the standard 170 BHP... that can do 210 even.

180-185 no more for origin part.
For tdi 170 no more to 205 hp, for more need to change DPF to substute and change clutch...

what's the difference m8 between engines:
golf 5 2.0 TDI 140CV
golf5 2.0 TDI 170cv
from factory,

Turbo is different - gt1749vc
injectors are siemens crystal piezo
ecu is also siemens and very different to tune than any vw with bosch ecu

all otheres part of engines are the same?;)
and piezo electrical injectors are used on common rail (if i remember well)

there are PD and CR with piezo electrical injectors.

yes,i read that,and they say that with the piezo electrical enjectors the engine run more silence and this is true too
for the turbo the difference it have different reference but as i read too that there are some engines 2.0 TDI 140 that use the same turbo as 2.0TDI 170(gt1749vc)
now,what is not different is: the clutch
it can support the torque

The gt1749vc from 170 cannot fit golf 140, the turbo is mounted upside down so there is room for the dpf, in the later 170pd the turbo was changed to a gtb1749vk which is stronger.

GT1749 on engine A3 2.0 TDI 140cv:celtictop:
GT1749 can be monted on engine 1.9TDI 105cv and 2.0 TDI 140cv that use GT1646

couple of horses you can try...

M8 you missed only 17 Driver wish maps and one for Torq and smoke limiter x2 lambda x3, boost limiter f(temp)...

At least you are brave enough to upload your .mod.

Of couse it will not make problems. When the car is coded to run from the first block it will use original values. So no power gain and no problems :laugh:
